Freckles and other pigmentary formations are smaller or larger spots of the skin pigment on the skin. The are of a hereditary origin, and their formation is also influenced by the sun radiation. Both of these factors force the melanocytes to produce larger amount of the skin pigment called melanin in certain places of the face. Hairgrass, the dilated veins in the face, may occur in result of significant hormonal changes (e.g. pregnancy), obesity, serious disease and excessive alcohol consummation.
