| minimum amount for dispatch | Spofax is a preparation for a local use containing a blend of haemostatic substances that also inhibit other symptoms of haemorrhoidal diseases as swelling, pain, burning and itching. Calcium salt of oxidised cellulose promotes the process of blood coagulation during bleeding and thus causing the bleeding to stop. Bismuth salt has a contracting effect, stops bleeding, has an antiseptic effect, relieves rectal irritation and pain. Cinchocaine locally anaesthetizes mucousal surfaces and the skin, and thus reduces itching and pain. The oily character of the suppository base, forming the suppository mass, also has a beneficial effect on the affected sites; this oily suppository base protects the mucous tissue from mechanical and chemical irritation. Indication Reduction of bleeding in haemorrhoids in all phases of the disease. |
