These substances are usually released during eating and help to break down and digest individual components of food. Lipase facilitates fat digestion, amylase carbohydrate digestion and protease participates in protein digestion. The main components of Panzynorm forte-N are of pig origin and are very similar to those produced by the human body. The tablets have a coating resistant to gastric acid, so the enzymes are released in the small intestine, where they take their effect and substitute missing enzymes that are not being produced by pancreas. |
