| Description | Ovosan is a nutritional supplement with an ability to effectively help in treatment and prevention of tumorous diseases, in a supportive treatment of infectious and autoimmune diseases. The mechanism of its antitumorous effect is based on biochemical differences between normal and tumorous cells in the metabolism of ether-phospholipids. The tumorous cells lack the enzyme that cleaves phospholipids or it is almost inactive, which leads to accumulation of ether-phospholipids in tumorous cell membranes, to damage of cells and destruction of membranes. Tumorous cells die, while cell membranes of normal physiological cells stay intact. Ovosan contains neither any preservatives, nor synthetic colouring agents, it is not addictive and there are no contraindications known. It is suitable for all age categories with the exception of children under 3 years of age.
