| Description | EUCERIN UREA 5% Skin cream: Daily care of dry and atopic skin with the tendency to squamule formation. It softens and moisturizes skin. The light consistence is absorbed quickly. Ideal as a base under make-up. Suitable also after shaving. Urea is a natural moisturizing substance, which naturally occurs in healthy skin. But in case of dry and atopic skin its amount is insufficient. Urea binds water in skin cells efficiently, and thus it helps to keep the protective hydrolipidic layer of the skin. Higher urea concentration supports peeling of the necrotic skin cells and in this way supports the skin regeneration. Lactic acid belongs to so-called AHA acids. It is a part of the natural skin moisturizing system similarly as urea. In concentration up to 5 % it has very good moisturizing properties and supports urea efficiency. Thanks to its sour basis, it helps to keep the natural - slightly acidous - skin pH. |
