| Description | EUCERIN UREA 5% Shower emulsion for washing face and body with dry and atopic skin. Suitable also for intimate body parts. It is free of alkaline soap components and cocamidopropylbetaine - it does not irritate and dry. Suitable as complementary care in dermatologic treatment of atopic eczema, psoriasis, ichthyosis, etc. Suitable for children from 3 years of age. Urea is a natural moisturizing substance, which naturally occurs in healthy skin. But in case of dry and atopic skin its amount is insufficient. Urea binds water in skin cells efficiently, and thus it helps to keep the protective hydrolipidic layer of the skin. Higher urea concentration supports peeling of the necrotic skin cells and in this way supports the skin regeneration. Lactic acid belongs to so-called AHA acids. It is a part of the natural skin moisturizing system similarly as urea. In concentration up to 5 % it has very good moisturizing properties and supports urea efficiency. Thanks to its sour basis, it helps to keep the natural - slightly acidous - skin pH. |
