| Description | EUCERIN UREA 10%: For taking care of very dry and cornified skin of feet and soles. Hydrates and softens the skin. Suitable also for taking care of the foot skin in diabetics and as a complementary care in dermatologic treatment of atopic eczema, psoriasis, ichthyosis etc. The light consistence absorbs quickly. Urea is a natural moisturizing substance, which naturally occurs in healthy skin. But in case of dry and atopic skin its amount is insufficient. Urea binds water in skin cells efficiently, and thus it helps to keep the protective hydrolipidic layer of the skin. Higher urea concentration supports peeling of the necrotic skin cells and in this way supports the skin regeneration. Lactic acid belongs to so-called AHA acids. It is a part of the natural skin moisturizing system similarly as urea. In concentration up to 5 % it has very good moisturizing properties and supports urea efficiency. Thanks to its sour basis, it helps to keep the natural - slightly acidous - skin pH. |
